캐나다 식품검사청(CFIA)은 여러 지방에서 일부 계란 브랜드가 살모넬라에 오염될 가능성으로 리콜을 발표했습니다. 리콜 대상에는 Compliments, Foremost, Golden Valley Eggs, IGA, no name, Western Family 계란이 포함됩니다. 리콜된 계란의 유통기한은 2월 16일, 2월 22일, 3월 1일입니다.
브리티시컬럼비아, 온타리오, 매니토바가 리콜 영향을 받았으며, "다른 지방과 준주도 포함될 수 있습니다." 당초 알버타와 사스카츄완도 포함되었으나, 현재는 리콜 목록에서 제외되었습니다. 공지에 따르면 소비자는 리콜된 제품을 섭취하거나 사용, 제공, 유통하지 말고, 계란을 버리거나 판매한 소매업체에 연락할 것을 권고하고 있습니다.
식품에 살모넬라가 오염된 경우, 외관이나 냄새에서 부패된 징후를 보이지 않을 수 있지만, 여전히 사람을 아프게 할 수 있습니다.
건강한 사람들에게 단기적인 살모넬라 증상으로는 발열, 두통, 구토, 메스꺼움, 복통, 설사가 있으며, 이 감염은 어린이, 임산부, 노인, 면역 시스템이 약한 사람들에게 더 심각하거나 치명적일 수 있습니다.
이러한 제품이 있는 경우 섭취하거나 제공하지 마십시오. CFIA는 리콜된 제품을 즉시 폐기하거나 구매처로 반품하여 환불을 받아야 한다고 조언합니다.
